MBR Club Service Review
Welcome to our review of the MBR Club
The Maximum Bet Racing Club aka the MBR Club comes under the Betfan portfolio and is a tipping service for horse racing with win and each way tips only
i.e. it’s all about backing – no laying of horses to lose.
The system is the brainchild of a man named David who aims to produce an analysis of his tips so that you can see his reasoning behind the selection.
The system appears to have been under the Betfan umbrella since August 2012 and since then has generated a surplus of 195 points to recommended stakes
(this did however include a big loss of 55 points in December followed by a recovery of 21 points in the early part of January).
There are 2 payment options which are £40 per month or £75 for a 90 day subscription.
MBR Club concentrates its efforts on horses in GB and Ireland, both jumps and all-weather, with typically a small number of selections, say 1-5 each day.
In December there were about 4 racing days when there were no selections at all.
Selections are due to be emailed out early in the day with an advice together with details of odds from particular bookmakers so that early odds can be taken – best odds guaranteed bookmakers are assumed in the Betfan results record.
This review will follow the MBR Club Service for 60 days and will show results to recommended stakes using a £10 per point basis.
Review of the MBR Club – Final Thoughts
The review started on 23rd January and concluded on 1st April. During that period there were 33 winning bets from 115 tips with an end result of a loss of 21 points.
The first 8 tips were losers and it wasn’t until day 20 that we moved into profit. During the review period there were 16 winning days, 43 losing days and 1 breakeven day. The best day produced a profit of 18 points and the worst day a loss of 9 points.
There were 9 maximum win bets of 5 points with 4 winners at prices of 5/2; 8/11; 13/8 and 4/6 but 5 losers. There were 2 EW maximum bets with 1 placed horse at 7/1 and the other a loser. This gave a small loss on the maximum bets.
Overall, a service which was a disappointment during the review period. As ever, it may produce better results at a time of year when the weather is better but on the basis of these results, I will not be adding the service to my portfolio.
