Welcome to our review of Value Backing

Value Backing is the brainchild of Carl Nicholson and actually offers two separate services,
namely Value Backing (which we’re reviewing here) and VB Extra (click here for a review of this one)
Value Backing currently costs £29.99 per month or £99.99 for 6 months (a 44% saving)
and is an occasional (big meeting) value bets service.

Carl’s idea was for a value based approach to betting similar to the likes of Pricewise
and he has since established a value priced service in which he sends an email message
containing selections with suggested stakes and available BOG bookies/prices.
The service can go a few days without a selection as Carl’s aim is to find what he believes
are under-priced and therefore value bets, where the stakes will generally be 1pt win or 1/2pt each-way.

The strike rate for Value Backing is relatively modest but combined with the decent prices,
it has proved to be profitable as can be seen from the results data. Since inception 9 months ago,
Carl has advised 131 bets and 24 of these have been successful (strike rate = 18.3%).

A total of £1485 was staked on these selections (at £10 per point) and profits of £722
have been recorded: this represents a 48.6% return on investments made. Occasionally,
such as recently, Carl will provide ad-hoc tips such as he did for the Breeders Cup,
where he nabbed a couple of tasty priced winners.

We shall review the Value Backing service for a minimum of 60 days, using our standard
£10 = 1pt level stakes and all results will declared at the odds advised by Carl,
after we’ve checked they’re available, of course!
