The Eider from a stats view is a strongish race for finding the winner, the stats I am using to narrow the field are as follows, won a chase over at least 3 miles 15/15,at least 2 runs this season 15/15 (14/15 at least 3 runs), competing in the Eider for the first time 15/15, incredibly this stat alone removes 9 of the 17 runners and since only 14 horses have tried again since 97 (no more than 3 runners in a normal running) this stat must be at risk, aged 10 or younger 14/15 (the exception an 11yo did not run for over a season), fell once or less previously 14/15, last years winner Milborough is the only winner to fall twice in their previous runs, this would leave Russe Blanc as the sole qualifier, I hate to throw one dart so looking at the horses that ran last year would bring in Shotgun Paddy, Woodford County and Presented, Mysteree won a chase over 2m7.5f and William Money Fell twice, I will go to war with these.
