No not retired yet if that means drawing my old age pension – still young at heart and like to keep very busy one way or another. I rarely ever watch the races unless it’s Cheltenham or the bigger meetings. Generally place my bets early and then monitor and keep one eye on what’s happening, depending on what else I’ve planned that day or need to do. I’m also watching Arsenal whilst I write this. I don’t let the racing rule me if you understand, It takes a few hours of my time each day (but that’s generally preferable to watching TV etc) but I treat it seriously. You can’t affect the results so why worry or get stressed. Once your bets are on they’re either going to win or lose and nothing you can do will change that so if you have other things to do just get on with it. A single day’s results are meaningless so accept that there will be good and bad days.
