As a “tight” Yorkshireman,i like your angle on having a chance of winning when travelling all that way.
I havent got any costings of ferry prices from Ireland to England with a horse box or small wagon,
but i would say it won,t be cheap. Then take into account wages and diesel…….soon adds up.
So in theory they are either coming across to win some dosh,or they are on the lash for a day or 2.
To me its about profit and loss as in any business, but as an owner (as you are Matt) do you say to
the trainer “sod it bring the horse over and we can have a good day out and hope to win”.
There are a few reasons for I suppose.
Maybe you could ask the trainer of your nag over the water a few questions Matt?
All good info above as per usual thanks very much
