I think that’s the difference between a ‘system’ and a selection methodology. This thread relates to a very simple system. It is mechanical, and a number of the winners have looked strange picks at big prices.
As Chris said, how you whittle is more in selection methodology than mechanical systems. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
Our goal should be to return enough from the winners to pay for the losers; and, to keep us vaguely sane, to get some sort of return on a somewhat regular basis. The definitions in there are to be tailored to individual user’s tastes and directly determine what sort of system or approach will suit. 🙂
