Newmarket will be awash with 2YO races over the next few days so I’ve had a look at how the trainers perform with all their 2YO’s running at Newmarket during Oct/Nov. Potentially this can weed out a number of runners and then focusing on the trainers that have a good record identify the “trends” that they appear to favour. Some interesting snippets emerged e.g Hannon with his poor 6/90 record, but no less than 5 of these have come on Saturdays over 6/7F distances for a 5/13 record.
Trainers to seemingly avoid with their 2YO’s at this meeting and the remaining Newmarket fixtures are: Noseda (0/12) J Tate (0/16) S Williams (0/21) Fahey (0/22) Channon (1/22) Stoute (2/27) A Balding (1/30) Elsworth (1/14) and Haggas (3/42)
The following are all from historically stronger trainers with 2YO running today that appear to fit their past historic modus operandi and a strong mention must be aired for ENDESSLY 2.55 whose trainer has a superb record with unraced 2YO’s running at Newmarket all year.
1.45: Timpani – Forward Thinker
2.20: Move To The Front
2.55: Burlington – Endessly – Key Victory
4.05: Bow Street
I’ll provide another list of positives tomorrow.
