Didn’t think he was ever going. Possible he resented the blinkers, though he’s run well in them in the past.
Basically, he is probably one to avoid just now. It was a competitive race, sure enough, but he was almost the first beaten.
Beaten 68 lengths apiece in his two runs this season before today. He could come back to form at some point, but I’d want a BIG price to chance him again, I think.
In other news, delighted for Anthony Honeyball’s stable that JACKIE’S SOLITAIRE won, at 20/1. Dropping in class, reverting back to hurdles. I had a £1 e/w on the tote, which paid less than 20/1! Sigh.
