I like the heavy ground horses on heavy ground, almost to the exclusion of any other form consideration. The below are all at Ayr.
Plus Jamais and Amethyst Rose are both interesting in the 12.40 Ayr, with slight preference for the latter (fell when running out of puff over a mile further).
It is interesting that Plus Jamais goes straight into a handicap on first chasing start, but the fact he’s been out of the frame in all five hurdles runs at Class 3 is a worry.
And old man Luke’s Benefit is a realistic contender in the 2.50, having shipped over from Ireland for the gig. Markem also has strong mud form in this race.
Chavoy should get the pace he likes to run at today and, dropping in class from a win last time out, can go well in the 3.25.
