Looking at the 3yos at Lingfield in the 2.00 I think Pathway to Honour is way too short. I have a picture of him and he does not have much substance. The fact that his stablemate Festive Fare is rivalling him in the market for the win suggests the trainer does not have much confidence either. Fitzwilliam looks a solid type in my photo and at 9’s for a place on Bf might be worth a speculative fiver.
In the 3.45 I am with Field Game, I saw him win his maiden at Kempton and as he won at Catterick the hills and turns of Lingfield should be ok. He ran in a Class 2 lto over 6f and this should be much more to the liking of what Richard Kingscote described as a pocket rocket when he got off him at Kempton.
True Course is SOTD. Here are my comments from his 3rd run at Salisbury
True Course – Not a bad type but seems slow. Still looked to have plenty of condition. Another slightly odd rear end set up but does look to have the potential to be better than this. 70 (this being my estimate of what OR he might achieve)
So he is running off 68 today and does not have much in the way of opposition.
The one that I have seen that I liked at Newmarket on debut was –
Laura B – This one was the mystery package from Chris Wall. Good size and strong throughout chest and hind quarters. Looked fitter than she ran and only received an educational. She was green in the pre-parade but not enough to explain abysmal run although it looked purely educational. Maybe worth following. 70+
That said she has looked a pretty limited performer so far but has been improving with racing. She is a butty type and perhaps a slow developer so could well still have more to come.
