stewards comments tucker,
The Stewards held an enquiry under Rule (B)11.6 into possible interference in the final furlong. Having heard their evidence and viewed recordings of the race they found that the winner, YPRES, ridden by B A Curtis, had interfered with SALVATORE FURY (IRE), placed second, ridden by Phillip Makin. They found the interference was accidental in that YPRES had hung left for one hit and was quickly corrected. They further found that the interference had not improved YPRES’s placing in that as the official distance was a head, the Stewards were not satisfied that with an uninterrupted run to the line that SALVATORE FURY (IRE) would have finished in front of YPRES. They ordered the placings to remain unaltered.
