Thankfully I called yesterdays shortlist right with none of the three runners possessing any of the attributes I seek – unlike today, where we have…
Nottingham 3.35 Murgan
Worcester 5.35 Morning Symphony
Kempton 7.45 Syrdara
Murgan has been off the track for some 138 days, suggesting something is amiss, and was turned over at odds-on when a beaten favourite on good-to-soft at Haydock last time.
Morning Symphony is a horse that I like, and if he can translate his Market Rasen novice hurdle form over today’s extra 2f on this more galloping track, has solid claims here.
Syrdara is probably not the most straightforward, but she clearly has ability. Beaten just a nose three starts back at Epsom, she had a valid excuse when failing next time at Salisbury when she ran too free. Has since joined Roger Varian’s yard where she was promising second at Lingfield last time when attempting to make all over an inadequate 10f.
I’m going for…
Kempton 7.45 SYRDARA
…as my best of the day. I’ll put this one up as a highlighted horse as opposed to a 1 pt recommended as she’s not straightforward, but she does look overpriced at 6-1 BOG.
