Bet Tracker, new on Geegeez Gold, allows users to record and analyse their horse racing betting performance

We've been overwhelmed - in a good way! - by the amount of feedback we've received on Bet Tracker since it went live yesterday. It is clear that this is going to be a hugely popular addition to the Gold offering. Equally, it became clear that there were a few issuettes which needed ironing out and, with your help, we've isolated them and are on the case in fixing them.

Moreover, there have been a few commonly asked questions, so in the short video - less than ten minutes, which is whirlwind for motormouth here - I've answered them; and I also show you what we're fixing now and what will have to wait until a subsequent phase.

Plus there are TWO NEW FEATURES in this release. Woohoo! 🙂

Click the video below to watch / listen... and thanks again for your engagement with this cool new tool.

p.s. User Guide is also updated, click here and see page 94.

    Hi Matt,
    Lovely stuff.
Appreciate this is phase one of BT but can I propose facility be made to record forecasts etc be considered in future updates?
    Thanks,
    Stephen

      Hi Andrewson,

We need to give quite a lot of thought to how we’d process more exotic wagers, be they forecasts (i.e. intra-race multiples) or lucky 15/31 types (i.e. inter-race multiples).

It’s possible we’ll accommodate them but, being frank, I’d say unlikely at this stage – very tricky stuff meaning time to build/test vs what else we could do with that time/money…

thank you for answering the enhanced place query, much appreciated. I think there is a little bug on the winners part. I have had 1 winner today and it says 2. I haven’t had a place neither.

Yes, we’re aware of that bug, Shaun, and will have it fixed in the next day or so. Thanks for flagging.

    Hi Matt,
Liking the BT addition very much, but as a big EW player who likes to take advantage of the more generous bookies offers of extra places, i was wondering if BT can be altered to include these extra places, ie the Lincoln on Saturday where some firms go six places.
It would make my life easier to keep track of those 8/1 shots that trail in sixth.
    Cheers.

    Hi Matt,

Congratulations on a terrific new feature, really impressed. Just started data entry for 2019 & checking against my own current spreadsheet. One question on odds entry; could there be a way of entering the decimal odds manually as sometimes prices are boosted to random decimal odds that don’t match a fractional value. I have a few from William Hill that have a boost price feature. Also noticed that 10/3 is calculating as 4.3 which gives a small error on the P/L.

Congratulations…a great feature that is both new and unique.

No one else offers such a critical piece of punter software to record all your bets in such a detailed manner.

Certain to be well received … well done !

An excellent piece of kit, Matt.

Any plans to be able to filter the bets by price? It would be great to be able to easily see what sort of price serves me the best.

      Matt Bisogno says:

Thanks Darren, glad you like it!

Re price, probably something to be done in excel at this stage. That said, I think we may get to export decimal prices to facilitate that.

Will aim to get that done next week. Thanks for raising a very good point.

    Hi Matt

How do you isolate winners on the bet tracker ie only show winning bets

    • Matt Bisogno
      Matt Bisogno says:

      Hi Lawrence

Expert to csv and sort by profit column is my suggestion. It can’t be done currently on the bets tab.

      Best,
      Matt

    Hi Matt,

    Great addition to Geegeez.

When adding to bettracker the price keeps refreshing to best price even when changing it . This also stops typing elsewhere as it refreshes.

    • Matt Bisogno
      Matt Bisogno says:

Thanks Rooster – I’m not seeing that price refresh issue happening here. Can you drop us a line on the support email – support@summumbonum.co.uk – and share which device and browser you’re using. Also screenshots ideally. We’ll get to the bottom of it with your help.

      Thanks,
      Matt

    Hi Matt

The updates have further enhanced an excellent addition to the service. My previous problem of being unable to delete selections from the tracker has solved itself without me doing anything!
One suggestion for any future updates would be that it would really useful to analyse bets by odds. I appreciate that space may be limited, but I would personally find that more useful than field size.

    Cheers

    Steve

      Hi Stephen

Thank you, glad you like BT.

Re odds analysis, we need to change the csv download odds to decimal to allow for sorting on there; and I think that’s going to be the best approach to analysis as well, in the short term at least. We’ll get that sorted hopefully this week.

      Best,
      Matt

Hi Matt, my question is the same as rmulkarkey,s above which wasn’t answered. I’ve been adjusting my stake accordingly ie £5 at 5.4/1 I’ve put £5.40 at 5/1 but is there a way to manually input Odds that aren’t the pre selected ones?

    • Matt Bisogno
      Matt Bisogno says:

Not at this stage, I’m afraid. We may add support for better later I the year but no plans in the immediate future.

    Hi Matt,
Thanks for replying to my earlier query re forecasts, appreciate there are greater needs elsewhere.
I have another question. Is there any facility to add a bet after the event? That is a day later, once the racecards have past to another world?
    Thanks,
    Stephen

    • Matt Bisogno
      Matt Bisogno says:

Yes, absolutely, Stephen. Go to the result, then click the Card tab, then add the bet from there.

Hi Matt. Will in the future, your bet tracker, users be able to edit their own betting returns as I only use Betfair. And as we all know the 5% commission has to be taken into account.

    Regards

    Shane

    • Matt Bisogno
      Matt Bisogno says:

      Hi Shane

There are no plans to do that at this stage. However, you can click the little ‘pencil’ icon on the right of a bet line in BETS view, and then change the Odds dropdown to reflect the price you got. I appreciate it’s inexact in terms of Betfair ticks but there are a lot of extra fractions in that dropdown list, so it will be at least more representative.

      • TheLoneBettor
        TheLoneBettor says:

Cheers Matt for your quick reply. After looking at your videos on the bet tracker, and others, several times, I am convinced that your software is the BEST out there, even though at this stage you can’t accommodate Betfair users. I will take into account what you said and improvise from the drop down list sometime in the near future.

I like to do things tidy, like all my bills go out in the first week of the month, so I will be subscribing in a couple of weeks. I look forward to it then.

        Regards

        Shane
