Cheltenham Festival Competition

Will you be the next to win £250?

As promised yesterday, here are the details of a prize draw competition centred on the Cheltenham Festival.

There are four cash prizes, as follows:

1st Prize - £250 cash

3 x 2nd Prize - £50 cash

And there are three ways of entering, each of which concludes with you emailing your details to prizedraw@geegeez.co.uk. The ways to enter are as follows:

1. Open an account with Boylesports to take advantage of their brilliant offer here.

Essentially Boylesports are offering punters money back up to £/€200 if your horse finishes second in one of the first four races on Tuesday. There are lots of ways to play this, but a couple I really like are a) back Al Ferof (or another horse you fancy) each way in the Arkle or b) back Binocular each way in the Champion Hurdle.

If those horses win, happy days. If they're second, you'll get the win part of your each way refunded and get paid out on the place part.

For instance, £10 e/w on Binocular at 5/1 (which is best price, incidentally) would return £82.50 if he won, £32.50 if he was second (including your refunded stake for the win), and £22.50 if he was third.

Obviously, if he's out of the frame, you'll lose but then you knew that anyway!

Take advantage of this here.

Once you've opened an account and placed your bet, email prizedraw@geegeez.co.uk with your name, and a reference to Boylesports offer, so I can check you're on my 'signed up' report, tick you off and include you in the draw. You'll then have  a chance to cash in with Boylesports and Bisogno-sport! 😉

2. Grab yourself a copy of the brilliant Festival Trends manual/membership, for both Cheltenham AND Aintree.

This brilliant offer, from my good friend and stats guru, Gavin Priestley, keeps churning out big-priced winners year after year. This time last year, they put up Oiseau de Nuit at 40/1 amongst others!!!

Included in the manuals are the stats, key race info, form guides, past winners detail, and a breakdown of who ticks the boxes.

You'll also get Gavin's four for the handicaps, and his daily placepot picks.

And here's the kicker - you'll get that info for both Cheltenham AND Aintree in his special 'Buy one, get one free' offer. (I really wish he wouldn't use that 'Why don't you BOGOF' line!)

All the details are here. This is a publication I use every year, and it's brimful of winner-finding info, whether you choose to go with Gavin's picks or use the data for your own purposes (as I generally do - I'm too pig-headed for anything else!)

Again, once you've signed up, email prizedraw@geegeez.co.uk with your name, and a reference to Festival Trends, so I can check you've got a copy, tick you off and include you in the draw. You'll then have  a chance to win more than eight times your initial investment. 🙂

3. Grab yourself a copy of the brilliant Winning Profiles manual/membership, for both Cheltenham AND Aintree

OK, this is a bit 'non-standard', I grant you. I wouldn't normally tell you about two similar products, in the same virtual breath. But you see, I think both are excellent, and they have slightly different approaches, both of which have real merit.

For that reason, I use both (and a couple of others besides!).

Winning Profiles comes from the top team at Oxfordshire Press, and runs the rule over nineteen of the best trends races from Cheltenham and Aintree.

However, different from Gavin's more comprehensive coverage, this manual - also downloadable as an ebook - looks at the first TWO home in each of the recent renewals of the races. This is a really smart angle and one I've not seen repeated anywhere else.

It can give a deeper feel to a stat if you know that both the winner and the second (who might have only been beaten by a whisker) fitted that trend.

Like I say, it doesn't cover as many races as Gavin's Festival Trends - which covers all races at both Festivals - but the different approach will add a further dimension to your studies.

As with Festival Trends, Winning Profiles also comes with a member service to tell you where the author's money is going. The details for this one are here.

You know the drill by now: once you've signed up, email prizedraw@geegeez.co.uk with your name, and a reference to Winning Profiles, so I can check you've got a copy, tick you off and include you in the draw.

Each of these three options is an excellent opportunity to enhance your enjoyment of the Festival, and your chances of winning, of course...

...even without the free cash I'm offering.

And with £250 for one lucky soul - like Paul Whitworth below, who won December's prize draw - plus three further prizes of £50 up for grabs, you could have a losing Cheltenham and still come out a winner!

Of course, using one, two, or all three of the offers above, you'll have a better chance of winning even before the draw is made.

So get involved, and email me your confirmation to prizedraw@geegeez.co.uk with your name, and a reference to your method of entry.

Some quick terms and conditions, if I may.

1. The competition is open from now until 5pm, Friday 16th March, so get your entries in pronto!

2.You may enter up to three times, once for each of the above.

3. The draw will be made next weekend, and my decision is final. I use a random number generator program to pick the email in sequence order of receipt.

4. A quick note. In each of the above scenarios, Summum Bonum Ltd (the geegeez company) will receive a commission for your purchase. It is these commissions that will pay for the prizes. In other words, I'll about break even on the deal most likely, and four lucky readers will get sommat for nowt. As always, I just want to be totally clear on this point.

That's all for today.

I'll be back tomorrow with, hopefully, a write up of the Cheltenham Festival preview which is due to take place after Sandown's racing this afternoon, featuring the likes of Paul Nicholls, David Pipe and Nick Luck, assuming my intrepid reporter is able to make the gig!

Then, from Monday, it's eyes down, look in, for the Festival Full House, as I go race by race through the entire blinking jamboree! Oh yes!! 😉

Now, get those prize draw entries in!

Matt

p.s. If you have any questions on the above, leave a comment below so I can answer you, and anyone else with the same question. Thanks.
