2.20: Four-year-olds have won four of the last seven renewals whilst four of the nine favourites have finished in the frame (two winners) to date.  All eight winners have carried weights of 9-3 or less to victory, whilst the last two four-year-old winners scored at 25/1 & 20/1.  Four renewals have slipped by since a successful market leaders emerged.

2.50: Four-year-olds have won six of the last twelve renewals of the ’Great Met’, whilst seven of the last 13 market leaders have secured toteplacepot positions, statistics which include three winners.  Nineteen horses have carried 9-4 or more during the last decade without registering a single success between them.

3.20: Ten of the last fifteen favourites have claimed toteplacepot positions (eight winners).  Andrew Balding (Operation Chariot) has won with his only two runners (15/2 & 3/1) in the contest during the last decade.  John Gosden (Hoarding) ahs saddled two of the last six winners.
