Following one of last week's messages, I had to pass on the habits of punters investing at Haydock yesterday!

It gets worse guys, as punters made favourites of runners from Chris Wall (0/7 at the track), Alan Jarvis (0/14) and Ruth Carr (1/18) not once........but twice (each)! Amanda Perret (0/3) rounded off the day....

Apprentice handicap over five furlongs scheduled for 6.45: Four-year-olds have won three of the four renewals during which time, all winners were burdened with a minimum weight of 9-2. Three of the five favourites have secured toteplacepot positions (one winner).
All aged maiden event over one mile scheduled for 8.45: Eight of the nine winners to date were returned at odds of just 3/1 or less, statistics which include four successful favourites. William Haggas has saddled three of the last seven winners and Akeed Dubawi was William’s only option at the time of writing.

Listed Dragon Stakes scheduled for 2.50: Three favourites have won during the last eleven years.
Two-year-old seven furlong event scheduled for 3.25: Four renewals have slipped by since the last favourite obliged, five of the previous seven market leaders having prevailed.
Listed Gala Stakes scheduled for 4.00: Four favourites have won during the last decade whilst five-year-olds have won three of the last four contests.
Class 3 mixed vintage handicap over ten furlongs due to be contested at 4.35: Three-year-olds have won six renewals during the last decade and vintage representatives come to this year’s gig on a four timer. Four of the last six contests have been secured by favourites of one description or another, with nine of the last eleven winners having been sent off at 8/1 or less. Mark Johnston held seven options for the race earlier in the week in a contest he has secured three times during the last decade.
Fourteen furlong handicap scheduled for 5.05: Nine contests has slipped by since the last successful favourite was recorded, though eight gold medallists during the period were sent off at a top price of 6/1. Seven of the last eight winners were burdened by a minimum weight of 8-13.
