It's a Big Week On Town Moor.......

This week (Weds 11th-Sat 14th  Sept 2013) sees the four day Doncaster St Leger Meeting get underway – and to help you find a few winners Andy Newton highlights five stables that have fantastic record at the track, while there are also three leading yards that don’t do as well as you might think with their Town Moor runners……

Yards To Look Out For……

ROGER VARIAN (Doncaster Track Stats: 11 winners from his last 45 runners, 24%): The Varian yard head into the Doncaster St Leger Meeting in cracking form anyway, but with their excellent 24% record in recent years with their runners then anything they run should be noted.

SAEED BIN SUROOR (Doncaster Track Stats: 23 winners from his last 115 runners, 20%): The boys in blue do well at this track, and despite only been training a little while their new handler, Charlie Appleby, should be noted too – he’s already 2 from just 5 at the track. Bin Suroor boasts a 20% strike-rate but with a 32% record with his juveniles then look for any youngsters they run over the 4 days.

Ticking along nicely this season with over 30 winners and look on target to make this their best campaign in terms of winners for some time.  Note any Donny 2 year-olds as they are 2 from 5 (40%), but also do well with their older horses at the track (9 from 37, 24%, +£29)

This powerful yard have so many runners across the tracks which makes maintaining a decent strike-rate that much harder. Therefore, when you find a track they boast a 20%+ record at with their runners then we should stand up and take note. Pay special attention to any juveniles they send to post – they’ve a 24% strike-rate in that age group at the course.
