Double Dutch, 2nd December 2015

Running very late today, so I'll keep it brief. A non-runner and a winner for a win single. The winner was 7/4 so a small loss on the day.

Tuesday's results were as follows:

Halo Moon : NR
Bredon Hill Lad: 2nd at Evens (adv 7/4)
----------------------------------------------------
Never Says Never : WON at 11/10 (adv 7/4)
Sirop de Menthe : 2nd at 5/2 (adv 5/2)

Results to date:
744 winning selections from 2658 = 27.99%
235 winning bets in 689 days = 34.11%

Stakes: 1377.00pts
Returns: 1472.3pts
P/L : +95.3pts (+6.92% ROI)

REMINDER: THERE IS NO DOUBLE DUTCH ON SUNDAYS

Here are Wednesday's selected races...

2.40 Ludlow:

Jayo Time and Vivaccio are both two from two at this track, and both have good cases to extend their unbeaten course records.

Jayo Time represents the in-form Kerry Lee yard and, since taking over from her old man, she's proved a similarly dab hand in deep ground handicaps. This fellow has won three of his last five, including over course and distance in this grade last time, and is versatile as regards trip and going.

Vivaccio is another Venetia Williams horse bidding to win on seasonal bow after pulling up when last seen. Both career wins were at this track so, coupled with a drop to his lowest mark since, there's every reason to believe a return to form is imminent after a nice break. He's worth chancing at 6/1 or so.

2.50 Catterick:

If we're still standing, we'll head straight off to Catterick for a three and a quarter mile handicap chase, where I think Cyrien Star has a great chance to double up after his last day win. Richard Johnson rode him there and resumes riding responsibilities off just a three pound higher mark. Henry Daly's runner won off a hurdles mark of 115 a couple of years ago so his current 110 should be well within range in a race where many of his rivals are out of form.

One who could step forward on just his third chase start is Alto Des Mottes, a five year old who won over three miles on heavy back in May. That was his final hurdles start and he's expected to strip fitter for two chase efforts at shorter trips. He should stay the extra quarter mile and he looks very interesting at a fair price.

4 x 0.5pt BOG doubles as follows...

Jayo Time / Cyrien Star @ 14.16/1 (10/3 & 5/2 : BetVictor)
Jayo Time / Alto Des Mottes @ 24.98/1 (7/2 & 5/1 : Hills)
Vivaccio / Cyrien Star @ 20/1 (5/1 & 5/2 : BetVictor)
Vivaccio / Alto Des Mottes @ 41.25/1 (11/2 & 11/2 : Stan James)

Bloody hell. One brought down at the first, the other unseats at the second. That’s ridiculous.
