Double Dutch Monthly Update : July 2015

Every day on the Double Dutch, we give you the running total of where the service stands with regards to winners, strike rates, profit/loss and the ROI, but we think it might be handy for you (whilst possibly a rod for our own backs!) to have a review of the previous month to see the current form.

So, this is how July 2015 panned out for us...

We had 27 days of action (we take Sundays off!) and after 5 of our selections became non-runners, we were left with 103 selections, of which 27 were winners at a strike rate of 26.21%. And whilst this was very similar to June's results, this is slightly lower than our overall strike rate, as you'll see shortly, probably by about a couple of winners less than expected.

Our 27 winners over 27 days could therefore have manifested itself into no winning doubles at all, if we'd been really unlucky or a maximum of 13 winners, so our 8 successful doubles is a decent return, but at 29.63% comes in a fair way short of our cumulative strike rate of 34.53%

Overall this meant we made ourselves a small profit for the month, with a modest profit.

We staked 54pts across the month and our returns of 56.97pts made for a profit of 2.97pts at an ROI of just +5.50%, meaning we're now entering August with 121.28pts in the bank.

July :

27 winning selections from 103 = 26.21%
8 winning bets in 27 days = 29.63%

Stakes: 54.00pts
Returns: 56.97pts

P/L : +2.97pts (+5.50% ROI)

And Overall :

640 winning selections from 2257 = 28.36%
202 winning bets in 585 days = 34.53%

Stakes: 1169.50pts
Returns: 1290.78pts

P/L : +121.28pts (+10.37% ROI)

Out of curiosity Chris, where do you get your stats from (or is it a trade secret)? 🙂
I played around with Raceform Interactive once but couldn’t get the hang of it. I’m such a dinosaur I still use the paper form book. You could call me fgrosaurus!

I’m an avid note taker if truth be told.
I write lots of things down that I hear and then see if I can expand upon them to make viable betting propositions, but an excellent starting point for any research is Chris Bagnall’s Horseracebase site. Chris will kindly give you a 7-day free trial to his low-cost service via this link

Must have been doing well in the first place of the month as we had a run of losing bets towards the months end. However, as I have learned from you guys this is not a sprint but a marathon (well maybe a 5,000 metres). A profit is always good and better than most would have achieved without you able help and assistance – Many Thanks.
