Jockey Pat Smullen was again aboard for Weld, with his mount never appearing to be in any trouble, he hit the lead with one and a half furlongs to go, clearing the rest of the field for a very easy seven length victory over runner up Devoted To You, with Choose Me a further length and a quarter in arrears in third place.

Winning trainer Dermot Weld commented, "He's a lovely horse to train. That's 10 Group and Listed wins in total for him and he's very good round Leopardstown.

"He's entered in Paris on Sunday so a decision will be taken on that later in the week.

"As regards whether he stays in training next year, I would love him to as he has a tremendous enthusiasm for racing, but I'll have to speak to Lord Teddy Grimthorpe (racing manager for owner Khalid Abdullah)."
