I was looking at some of the races at Naas today where the going is Good to Yielding and realised that, despite many years betting, I don’t really know the difference between Yielding & Soft (and hence also Good to Soft/Yielding, Soft/Yielding to Heavy & Yielding to Soft).

I imagine it is somehow connected to the reading taken by the Clerk of the course on the Going Stick but I can’t find any guidance or commentary anywhere – hoping someone on Geegeez can help.
