Gold Nuggets #1
In this first in a new series of videos and blog posts, I'll be looking at various elements of Geegeez Gold in search of a value approach, and maybe a value winner or two along the way as well.
Today's episode focuses on the importance of heavy ground form; and run style at a couple of courses and distances on the all weather.
Pro tip: if I speak a little slowly for you, use the cog icon bottom right to change the playback speed.
Hi Matt,
Thanks for the video. I noticed that you had TS ratings on your racecard page, I checked on my ‘My Geegeez page’ and I don’t appear to have that option. Any reason?
Thanks
David
Hi David
You do have that option on My Geegeez: it’s under Racecard Options > Instant Expert > Rating
Matt
Hi Matt,
Apologies, thought the TS option on my Geegeez referred to Instant Expert only.
Early year senior moment, I’m afraid!!
David
Hi Matt, HNY
Will there be the option for actual speed times on the racecards in the sectionals? You can see if fast, even, etc and where the horse was in relation to the other horses but not the actual speed. It would help rule out horses that just cannot get to a speed expected to win.
Hi MrP,
Speed is affected by all sorts of things, not least of which is going. As such, the sectional comparisons work much better, in my opinion at least.
No plans to put speed there at the moment though we may revise that in due course.
Matt
Ok, thanks for the reply, good man.
Good Video Matt, Been using Geegeez for quite a while and still picked up a few tips from this. Cheers
That’s great to hear, Ray, thank you. And thanks for watching!
