Trainer Nigel Twiston-Davies has commented that his charge, Imperial Commander is healing well from his injury and could possibly still be included in the Boxing Day William Hill King George VI Chase at Kempton.
The Cheltenham Gold Cup hero is reported to have started with an exercise routine, with the leg that was cut during his victory in the Betfair Chase at Haydock mending well.
"He's good. The vet has looked at him and he's out exercising," said the trainer.
"We still don't know if he'll definitely get there, but things are all good at the moment.
"It's healing up really, really well. We are not going to start cantering him yet, maybe on Thursday or Friday, but he's out exercising on the roads."
