Superstar Virtual Assistant (Closing Date: 24th June 2016)

The Role

You will be available up to 30 hours a week, with some weekend work involved as well. The successful candidate will manage a range of customer-facing support tasks, mainly email support, and must have excellent written English. (And I mean “EXCELLENT”).

As well as direct customer support, we are looking for someone who can maintain a support-based project: the creation of a Knowledge Base and development of extensive FAQ content.

Further, you will be required undertake daily checks of the website to ensure all content is displaying as it should and notify management in the case of any issues.

There will also be a range of ad hoc tasks as time goes by. We are a small team and we often need to be agile to ‘get it done’. You understand this, and will relish the challenge.

You will have strong knowledge and experience of facebook and twitter, attributes which will help you to promote geegeez.co.uk by publishing to our official social media accounts against an agreed ‘content template’.

 

The Individual

Our team is a highly professional outfit who pride themselves on strong presentation skills and an unflinching commitment to customer care.

Consequently, your English spelling and grammar must be first rate, and you will have a desire to serve the geegeez.co.uk community and to be a core part of our ‘tribe’. In that regard, you will be expected to show initiative and leadership from day one.

Whilst on the job support will be provided, you will need to be able to act under your own steam, and to always bring possible solutions to the table when you inevitably identify problems/issues.

You will have the time and energy – up to 30 hours a week – to give to our community… your community… the focus they need and expect.

The subject matter – UK and Irish horse racing and betting – will be extremely familiar to you, and you will have at least some awareness of the various elements within Geegeez Gold. You will need this knowledge to carry out your duties.

Ideally, you will have demonstrable experience in a customer support environment, but much of this is common sense (and common courtesy), so this is not essential. Common sense and common courtesy, however, are essential (!)

Above all, a sunny ‘can do’ disposition will take you very far at geegeez.co.uk, and we welcome applications from those who are passionate about horse racing, social media and helping others.

 

Essential Requirements

In order to be considered for this position, you MUST satisfy the following:
- Have extremely good written English, including grammar and spelling
- Be selflessly passionate about helping people
- Have demonstrable knowledge and experience of UK/Irish horse racing
- Be an active user of both twitter and facebook
- Be available up to 30 hours a week, including an hour a day on Saturday and Sunday

 

Desired (but not essential) Requirements

In addition to the above, it is desirable if you have:
- Experience of using social media for business purposes
- Some graphic design interest / ability
