Placepot pointers – Tuesday 1st December 2015

While we endure a quiet day of sport on Tuesday, I thought I would offer positive figures via the top six Placepot dividends during the last twelve months:

£34,057.10 – Newton Abbot – 7th May

£12,870.10 – Lingfield – 25th March

£10,789.80 – Bangor – 18th April

£10,565.40 – Newbury – 15th August

£10,379.50 – Brighton – 25th August

£10,009.90 – Huntingdon – 26th December

Out of interest, the top average Placepot dividend reported in my first book on the subject back in 1993 relating to flat racing was recorded at Newbury.

The ‘make up’ of races at the Berkshire venue ensures that really good dividends are recorded at Newbury (flat) year on year.

The average Pools have grown fivefold since 1993.
