Race of the Day - 16:05 Wolverhampton

The Trainer Snippets report shows that Keith Dalgleish has a super record with last time out winners. From his last 189 such runners, he's managed 49 winners (25.93%) and 94 places (49.74%), for level stakes profits of 47.85 and 56.49 respectively and an Impact Value of 1.38.

Jack Blane was a winner last time out and runs on the all-weather at Wolverhampton in a six-furlong sprint.

Jack Blane's form had been a little up and down before being dropped in trip last time out where he was a decisive winner over course and distance. He runs in a similar class race today and has only been raised two pounds for that victory in December last year.

Philip Makin takes the ride again as he has for the last three races, and if he runs to a similar level again he can be very competitive.

The Trainer Snippets on the racecard show that as well as having a great record with last time out winners, the Dalgleish yard has produced a few winners in the past couple of weeks. He is 2/10 (20%) for a small level stakes profit and an Impact Value of 1.82.

Philip Makin looks like he enjoys riding here at Wolverhampton as over the past year he's had eight winners (16.00%) and 22 places (44.00%) from 50 runners, for level stakes profits of 9.50 and 16.34 respectively, and an Impact Value of 1.48.

There are not too many sections of green on the Instant Expert report, however, Jack Blane does have two sections for course and distance, which together with two sections of amber show that he is reasonably well suited to conditions here today.

As mentioned earlier he is just the two pounds heavier than for his last win so there doesn't appear to be too much stopping him putting in another strong performance.

The Pace report shows that early leaders here over this distance have the best record, with 15.05% of them going on to win the race, for level stakes profits of 103.96 and an Impact Value of 1.41.

Stopworldnletmeoff looks the most likely early leaders based on the last four runs of each of today's field, whereas Jack Blane will probably be held up again and wait for his chance late on in the race.
