Race of the Day - 15:15 Newcastle

This is a one and a half mile handicap on the all-weather at Newcastle, with several runners that look to have a reasonable chanced based on their best form.

The Resdev Way is chasing a hat trick, and has won three of his last four races, all of which have been over today's course and distance. He has obviously taken a rise in the weights, but surely has to be one for the shortlist.

The Resdev Way really stands out on the Instant Expert tab, which, given his recent form, is to be expected. He has four sections of green and easily looks the horse most suited to today's conditions. He is up another nine pounds for his previous win, so may need to improve again to take this.

Interestingly, when looking at the Pace tab, from the small ish sample we have from the all-weather track at Newcastle so far, it is horses that run in mid division that have the best record. 16% of them have won for a level stakes profit of 5.25.

Leaders have a terrible record with just 5% of them going on to win the race.

The Sire Snippets report can be particularly useful, and today it shows that Street Cry has an excellent record of producing winners on the all-weather tracks. He is 59/271 (21.77%) for a level stakes profit of 23.28. This really is good going, and Street Artist who runs here today was sired by him.

You can, with Form Filter. Choose the Sire button, then ‘Course’ 🙂
