Race of the Day - 15:40 Doncaster

The Trainer Jockey Combo Stats report shows that Gary and Jamie Moore have been in excellent form together recently. Over the past 30 days, they've had seven winners (35%) and 11 places (55%) from 20 winners, which has produced level stakes profits of 10.75 and 21.84 respectively and an Impact Value of 3.18.

They team up with two runners at Doncaster today and we are going to take a closer look at Cheque En Blanc, who runs in a three-mile handicap hurdle.

Cheque En Blanc put in a couple of decent performances in the autumn finishing third at Plumpton and Fontwell, before winning well when stepping up in trip to three miles at Taunton last time out. He has been raised six pounds for that win, but the manner he took that race suggests he could still be competitive in this if running to a similar level.

Jamie Moore has been riding extremely well over the past month and has had ten winners (25%) and 17 places (42.5%) from 40 runners for level stakes profits of 11.25 and 19.74 respectively and an Impact Value of 2.27.

Only three runners have sections of green when looking at the Instant Expert report and one of those is Cheque En Blanc. This report also confirms that although he is six pounds higher than for his last victory, a few of the others are in a similar situation, including the short-priced favourite, Innisfree Lad.

The Pace report shows that prominent runners have the best record here over this distance, with 13.53% of them going on to win the race for a small level stakes profit and an Impact Value of 1.29.

The majority of this field appears to be happy to sit back and be held up and there are no real frontrunners among them. Blackwell Synergy is usually quite prominent in his races so he looks the most likely to be taking them along through the first part of the race.
