Registered Users Only for some content from Thursday 5th December

Please note that some website content will be available to registered geegeez users only, with effect from Thursday 5th December 2013.

The affected elements are:

- Stat of the Day, Double Dutch, and The Shortlist

- All race cards except one meeting per day

Registered users can log in from the box top right. If you've forgotten your details, click the 'Forget?' link. And if you still need to register, click the 'Register' link. All are highlighted in the image below.

NB: IF YOU ARE ON THE GEEGEEZ EMAIL LIST, THAT DOES NOT MEAN YOU ARE REGISTERED! (They are two separate processes).

If you've already been logging in to access the Tipping League, for example, then it's as you were.

If you previously registered but haven't been logging in, now is the time to start.

I'm sure some of you will have forgotten your details since you registered, so by all means use the 'Forget?' link to have those details emailed to you.

    Hi Matt…have just tried to log as advised in using what I thought was my correct password but no joy. Tried the ‘forgotten password?’ option and couldn’t get beyond a little box which told me to put in my email address or user name which I already had. Help!

    Hi I can’t get my password to work and the password link takes me round in circles and won’t let me enter a new one, it just sends me an email saying reset here.

          Sorry Chris, there’s nothing else I can do, apart from resend it, which I have done. Make sure you check your spam/junk folder. AOL is another of the notorious companies for not actually delivering mail. I suggest you whitelist geegeez.co.uk with them. See their help pages for details.

    Was away yesterday, didn’t see your mail until 5 mins ago. Tried to log in but forgot my password, Used the link for forgotten password and a message popped up telling me that you had sent an e-mail with instructions how to re-set it. So far I not received the e-mail. can you help?

      Do check your various gmail folders. The joyous new gmail setup means things you need/want get ‘filed’ in the quirkiest places.

      If no luck in ten minutes, drop me an email, and I’ll sort manually for you.

      It needs to be 8-12 characters long, and include a capital letter, lower case letter, and a number.

      In fact, although it ‘seems’ like a lot of people struggling, compared to the hundreds that have registered today and last night, it’s not too bad at all. I was expecting worse!!! 😀

    I’m just not getting anywhere with this .
    Its telling me already registered but won’t give me a password or won’t accept it so I’ve tried reregistering and it won’t let me because it already exists.
    I don’t know why you have to do this anyway in the first place.

      Sorry about your frustrations, which I’ll email you about in a minute.

      As to why we have to do this, it’s because I pay a small fortune for the content that you – and thousands of others – enjoy, and I don’t really want those not committed to geegeez to get the same level of service as those who are. 😀

      Look out for my email (incidentally there have been some problems with gmail – I think they’ve changed their email ‘filing’ system, so things can appear in very strange places)

    This must be driving you mad. I have had my password resent and assume that the first box is for my email address. I have tried the two normal addresses I use and neither work. Hope you can resolve this for me.

    I am having all sorts of problems trying to log in, everytime I do it says my username /password is incorrect.I have used the forget password several times over the last two days and when I itry to log in the next time after changing my password the same thing happens please help this is doing my head in.

        Hi Matt I have definately registered,but thought OK, iwill try registering as you suggest, when I try to do this it says my user name is already registered, when I put a new user name in, it says my e-mail address is already registered.Each time I fill in a request to change my password it lets me log in, but then the next time I try it will not let me,hence everytime I want to log in I have to ask for a new password.

            For some reasons, my email keeps bouncing back from your email address. Anyway, I set your password as the same as your username with the numbers 123 after it.
            That should get you in, then you can edit your profile and change your password.

      There is a little ‘feature’ currently where if you go to racecards page when you’re not logged in, and then go somewhere else and log in, and then go back to the racecards page, it doesn’t note that you’re logged in. If you log in (again) on the racecards page, you’ll see them all.

    Morning Chris,looks like you have been working late on these problems and I appreciate it, but it still won’t let me in using that password. had to change it again to acces the site, logged out again then when I tried with my new password it wouldn’t let me in. i dont know what the problem is with my e-mail address either, this is very frustrating, must be for you too.

      I believe your username starts with a lowercase letter, not a capital.
      Anyway, I’ve reset you password and mailed it to you.
