With her third victory in a row this season, Seta just hung on to win in the (Listed) Danepak Atalanta Stakes at Sandown, with a confident ride from jockey Jean-Pierre Guillambert.
After finishing well back in the field when liked in the 1000 Guineas, Trainer Luca Cumani made the decision to pull her back down in class, where she then had success at Leicester and Warwick.
Jockey Guillambert moved to the front of the field just over one furlong out, travelling well, kept on bravely inside the final furlong, just holding on after beating down a challenge, to defeat Long Lashes by a short head.
Cumani's wife Sara said, "Job done. I'm not quite sure about the trip - it's as far as she would want to go.
"Luca wanted to see what happened today first. I think she has various options but we'll take it step by step."
Guillambert, replacing Kieren Fallon who was on his way to Arlington, added, "I was lucky enough to ride her in her last couple of bits of work, which I think helped today.
"It was one of those last furlongs that seem an awful long way.
"She's game and if Frankie (Dettori, on Long Lashes) had come to me earlier she might have battled back, he just came to me late.
"She got the mile fine and she gives you a lovely feel."
