Stat Of The Day

SotD Update, 27th June to 4th July 2016

Last week was a very frustrating one and prety much typified the way that SotD had gone for both myself and Matt (who covered me for the holiday period) alike, more on that shortly.

Based on bare results, last week was poor. No winners from six is nothing like what we want/need to be giving you, but with all six runners finishing in the first four home and three top 3 finishes from 6 suggests we're not far away from hitting another run like we had in May.

Unfortunately, as I intimated at the top of the piece, last week typified our month. We actually lost 15pts in June, a large chunk of May's profits, as two winners from 24 is never going to be enough, but when you've a place strike rate nudging 60% (14/24), you'd expect a couple more winners, especially after backing seven runners-up!

Dave recently pointed out on my site that most advisory services struggled for any sort of form in June, and July has started in a similar vain, unfortunately. Nothing a month of settled weather won’t rectify. Form lines are all over the place at the mo.
