The sportingbet.com Great Voltigeur at York next Tuesday will be missing one starter, as Theology will not run but, will go directly to Doncaster for a shot at the Ladbrokes St Leger on September 11.
The Queen's Vase at Royal Ascot saw Theology defeated a nose by Mikhail Glinka, then on his next start, the Betfair Gordon Stakes at Goodwood, he put out a disappointing performance, managing just sixth place out of a total of only ten starters.
Although he has also been entered in the Totesport Ebor next Wednesday, his trainer, Jeremy Noseda has confirmed that he will not be a starter at York.
"He was a little bit quiet after Goodwood and a little under the weather, so we will wait for the St Leger," said Noseda.
He commented, "Going into the race, I expected Theology to be in the first four at Goodwood, but he never really settled in the race and I'm pretty confident he never gave his running that day.
"It's all eyes on the St Leger and trying to get him in back on top form for that."
