After triumph in the event last year with Monsieur Chevalier, Richard Hannon has nine submissions remaining in at the this point for the Weatherbys Super Sprint on Saturday at Newbury, as he attempts an eighth time victory in the race.
In spite of accounts that Reckless Reward is currently being purchased by Hong Kong, the Norfolk Stakes runner-up could be the leader of Hannon's team.
Hannon, said on Monday, “If we decide to run him, Reckless Reward should put in a solid performance following on from his second in the Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot.
"Bilko Pak is turning into a nice horse and Takeaway, although beaten in his last three starts, is in good order and would carry only 8st 2lb. Rossetti has loads of speed and is in great form at home."
Cheers, Mixed Emotions, Roche Des Vents, Kojak and Jaahiz, who hung on solidly to win by three and three-quarter lengths on Saturday at York, have also been left in by Hannon, who has had extraordinary achievements with two year olds this season.
The largest danger to Hannon's attempt in the Super Sprint may be from Temple Meads, trained by Ed McMahon, who appeared imposing in his only start with a victory at Newmarket in a 5 furlong maiden.
