Weekly Update

The ups and downs of value betting…

Getting on at a decent price can have big rewards, but patience and mental fortitude is needed to endure the inevitable losing runs and this was very apparent for one of our featured services in the Geegeez System Trials Roundup to 22/11/2016.

I'm talking about Kieran Ward's Morning Value Service which often hits double-digit winners, but when you're backing 15 horses a day with a strike rate of 14%, you have to expect some downturns and last week was a perfect example.

In fact, at one point last Wednesday, MVS was on a 33 bet losing run, but since then has hit 13 winners from 57 for 55pts profit at 1pt level stakes. Including the 3 losers from Wednesday, they still made £520 to a £10 level stake since my last roundup and it's no surprise to hear they're our star tipster this week. And to see how that all unfolded : here's our review!

But they weren't the only ones to make money, 7 others shared £383, the bulk of which came from the two services who complete our weekly top three.

Our runner-up this week was Quentin Franks Racing who broke the £1000 profit barrier this week, thanks to another £128.73 from another good set of selections : James' review of QFR is right here.

And the trio is completed with a first roundup mention for The Football Formula, who had made a slow start to be fair, losing £25.60 in 22 days as of this time last week, but a return of £85.70 this week has changed all that and they now sit in profit as they approach half-time of their trial. To see what kind of games they're looking at, have a look at Phil's report.

And inevitably, where there are winners there are also losers, yin/yang etc, but just three loss-makers this week with a combined deficit of almost £212. Least worst was Top Form Racing who weren't quite living up to their name shedding £41.75, but with a week to run, this review is still showing a healthy profit. We'll find out next week, whether our reviewer Chris (T, not me!) gives it the thumbs up.

Next in line was another who didn't quite follow their monicker, as GreatBets lost £80.00 over the week. It's a strange one here, as they can quite clearly spot a winner or two, but lack consistency. Perhaps a read of the review might highlight some area of strength/weakness for you?

This week's wooden spoon, however, is "awarded" to another service, Each Way Winners, that like GreatBets has shown the ability to find winners in the past, so perhaps they're also suffering the ups and downs of value betting? Either way EWW lost £90.00 over the week and if you want to know how that happened, David has logged all the selections/results right here.

As usual, clicking the name of a service takes you straight to their home page, whilst there are links to every review above.

At the risk of sounding like a broken record, there are some seriously standout performances up there. More profit for Big Race Analysis takes that one beyond £2000 profit to £10 stakes. More profit for Quentin Franks Racing who go beyond £1000 and this week's headliner Kieran Ward's Morning Value Service will also be harbouring ambitions of breaking that £1000 barrier in the final three days of their trial.

We will, of course, tell you next week how all that went!

I don't recall ever bringing you a weekly update, where every service is in profit, but we also managed it this week, with only Sports Betting Pays showing a small loss and they're actually in good form themselves, picking up some good results this week and making a reasonable profit of their own. Perhaps next week will be that sea of green moment?

We added a review of National Hunt Supremo to the panel this week, but with four services approaching judgement day, I really need to find some more interesting stuff to review. My guys want to be kept busy, so if you've any suggestions, please let me know!

Otherwise, I'm back next week,

Chris
