Win £100 with BetVictor

Win £100 with BetVictor

After the success of last week's tipping competition, with over 200 entries, I've decided to do it all over again! And BetVictor have very kindly agreed to offer some generous bookie bet prizes, totaling £100.

The rules are similar to last week but with a few important differences.

Firstly, there are two prizes, one for the top aggregate profit-maker over the course of TWO WEEKS. Yes, this competition will run from Monday to Friday this week and next. And, secondly, for the top-priced nap nominator over the twenty races (two a day).

The overall winner will get £80 in vouchers to bet with, and the highest nap will receive a £20 bet. Not too shabby!

In the event of a tie for either prize, count back will be brought into play. For the top scorer, we'll review second places and, if necessary, third places, etc. For the highest priced nap prize, we'll look back to second highest priced nap, third highest priced, and so on.

OK, if that is all reasonably clear, here's how to enter:

A. You need a BetVictor account to enter this time. If you don't yet have one, you can register here.* The lucky winners will receive their prizes direct to their account.

B. Then, it's as easy as 1-2-3. 1. In the comments space, you need to enter your picks; 2. Then fill in your name, email address and, in the 'website' space, BetVictor username. Then 3. click 'Post Comment'. An example is below:

C. I will update each night, and maintain a leaderboard of both overall performance and highest priced nap.

And, er, that's it!

*When you open a BetVictor account, they'll match your first bet up to £25 with a free bet. They have also innovated this year with what I think is the best racing concession in many years: non-runner free bet on both the Cheltenham Festival and the Grand National.

OK, so to the business of Monday's selections. Your fancies please for the following two races:

[Note, entries without a BetVictor username won't qualify for this competition, I'm afraid.]

4.10 Carlisle

4.30 Southwell

If you don't yet have a BetVictor account, click the banner below and sign up, then join in the competition fun! 😀

    4.10 Camden George
    4.30 Tisfreetdream

Going for a ‘Ryan’ Double here. Sue Smith has Won this Race the last two years Running and and although Camden George has been off for over a year this Race may have been booked-marked by Mrs.Smith – Worth a tickle at the Price.
Tisfreetdream Placed Last Time Out over the Course and a longer Distance. It looks the best of a bad lot for me, clearly has decent Ability and looks a fair Each-Way Bet.

4.10: Billy Cuckoo: Three of it’s last four runs have been in heavy going and produced a win and two seconds?
4.30: Saddlers Mot: More in hope as I can’t find inspiration in this race, won on this going before.

4:10 Carlisle Armedanddangerous up 10lb for an easy win over three miles on heavy ground last time out at Newcastle. He has won over this c& d before so carlisle’s stiff up hill run in should not be a problem in these conditions. Felix De Giles is on board and is his only ride here today

4:30 Southwell Meet Me At Dawn back over hurdles today after trying his luck chasing. He won a similar contest to this last may at Southwell under the same ground and with the same conditional on board.i will take him over a weak favourite who has a shocking record around here
    great comp matt

What if Bet Victor has closed your account 🙁
(I’m sure many of your subscribers will have this problem, like all bookies they don’t like shrewd gamblers, only reckless ones)

      Matt Bisogno says:

If they’ve closed your account, then well done, but I’m afraid this competition isn’t for you. This is for existing or new BetVictor customers only, I’m afraid.

There will be other sponsoring bookies on other days.

4.10 Full Of Joy – Creditable runs , possibly better than final position when just out of places last twice following good run at Ascot when still travelling well.

4.30 NAP -Tisfreetdream – A consistent plodder against a pretty moderate bunch and likely to turn up at a big price again sometime.

Billy Cuckoo wins the first at odds of 13/2. Well done to the fourteen of you who got that one. A nice start to the competition. 🙂

2nd part of the Double landed with Tisfreetdream…Shame that Camden George was never in it, £2 would have returned £635!!

  16. Matt Bisogno
    Matt Bisogno says:

And Tisfreetdream, a 12/1 chance, wins race two, to give Tony MS and Ian Friend a very tasty 96.5/1 double, and a shared lead both in the overall competition and the highest priced tip contest.

Of course, there’s a very long way to go yet, so still very much all to play for.

Full update and tomorrow’s races will be emailed later tonight.

Question Matt, are the two picks automatically a ‘Nap’ selection or do we have to write this alongside the Runner. If not, do we get penalized if it doesn’t Win. Also, is it possible to submit another entry (Annoyingly Billy Cuckoo was my second choice how galling is that?) if there is a Non-Runner after the Submission has been entered. Cracking Competition by the way Mate.
