    Hi Matt
Great video and great site. I would like to sign up but I am getting the message that sign up isn’t available until October ?

      Matt Bisogno says:

That’s correct, Jason. Please hang fire until then, as I have what I hope will be an appealing offer for people who’d like to get to grips with geegeez.

And thanks very much for your interest.

How on earth anyone can have any confidence in a “system” that shows anything close to 100% ROI is beyond me. Why are you all not just following this system and getting rich rather than bothering with the effort it takes to run a quality website like you do?

    • Matt Bisogno
      Matt Bisogno says:

With respect, Adrian, if you actually watched the video rather than just blurting out, you’d have a bit more understanding. I do explain that – and many others things – in the recording. Your objection is as old as the hills, and almost totally misses the point. Do have a watch of the video as it will answer your question.

    Hi Matt
    Nice video and nice publication.
Got a bit confused as I checked a few out in HRB and most gave similar results
but some were completely different. Not sure why.
Anyway decided to give 3 and 4 star combinations a go.
Will let you know how I get on.

Hi, many thanks for TTS video with your clear explanation on your dedicated development of the data. Trainers for courses is something i have an interest in anyway but your work has concisely packaged together a clearer approach. Two points to ask about – one is for the A list of trainers would you recommend each way for any odds over 10/1 up to any price. Secondly would you apply an elimination rule if more than 1 qualifier in any race ? These probably personal preferences but any thoughts?
    regards,

    • Matt Bisogno
      Matt Bisogno says:

      Hi Gerry

The data in TTS is researched against specific criteria – i.e. 10/1 or shorter, etc. However, when setting up the trainer/track combos in my Query Tool Angles, I had to drop the odds parameter: otherwise the qualifiers won’t show on my report. A side effect of doing that is that I was able to see that many of the trainers were profitable beyond the 10/1 threshold, but I don’t have more specific information on that.

That’s a verbose way of saying, “The manual is researched based on a 10/1 cutoff and I cannot vouch for performance beyond that”.

Regarding elimination rules, not for me. Again, the research covers all runners, regardless of whether there are fellow trainers in the list, or trainers with multiple runners. I will back four in a race sometimes anyway, but appreciate others don’t like to do that.

As I say in the video, it’s information and to be used as works for the reader. That said, and in answer to your questions, my usage pattern is outlined above.

Hope that makes sense, and helps,
      Matt

I always use ‘shortest forecast price (Racing Post)’ when there is more than one selection in a race. It works for my systems, but may not work for this of course.

A useful video Matt. I did get TTS first time around but it was useful to go through the video so that I could be sure that I would use it to most effect.
I am glad to see Stat Of The Day come back to some form after a regression. I was a big fan of Race Of The Day and do miss it.

I will be at the LRC event on October 3rd and so will look out for you there.

      Hi John

Many thanks, that’s very high praise!

I hope the other videos I have to follow will help to turn data/stats into something more concrete as well. At the end of the day, if a statistic has meaning it should be able to be expressed in a ‘plain English’ sentence.

      Thanks again for the comment

    Hi Matt
Have downloaded your report and watched your video, Thoroughly enjoyed both. The most sophisticated ‘Trainers for courses’ that I have come across. What I would like to know is why you have gone to all of this effort into providing all of this information for free. Why do you not just use this information personally. Why make this information available to all and sundry and risk shortening the price of all qualifiers.
    Roger

    • Matt Bisogno
      Matt Bisogno says:

      Hi Roger

I use lots of angles and data in my punting: pace and draw, trainer habits (many that go way beyond the remit of TTS), horse profiling, and on. As long-serving geegeez.co.uk readers will attest, I/we are always giving away extremely valuable info. We also have a product to sell, and it’s an ‘open secret’ that I’ll be making an offer for that in the near future. No obligation of course, and I have plenty more high quality information to impart between now and then. Stay tuned!

      Best,
      Matt

Another great freebe ,Matt .would it be possible to flag up potential runners at the declaration stage via your geegeez website ?( Price notwithstanding) also have you any plans for an Irish stats guide ?

    • Matt Bisogno
      Matt Bisogno says:

No idea is the honest answer, Alan. You can check the results and see if winners cluster, but as I’ve been at pains to say in the video, feel free to use/experiment with the info in any way you see fit.

All that said, one guy – Chris H – did win fifty grand off a lucky 31 betting TTS about ten years ago! I did a little video about it at the time. Was a spectacular outcome, for sure.

  15. David
    David says:

Would it not be better to simply use forecast price of 10/1 or less, rather than SP, as then you’ll always know when you have a qualifier, and also you’d be able to place your bets at the early prices in the morning?

    • Matt Bisogno
      Matt Bisogno says:

It’s impossible to do the research against forecast prices, David, because different people/media outlets forecast different odds.

      Matt

      • David
        David says:

Sorry, yes, I meant to say Racing Post forecast prices. I’ve always used these and overall they seem to provide a reliable way of confirming your selections on a morning.

  16. David
    David says:

Also, based on your tables, I don’t know why you eliminated the one stars, as these have a higher win strike rate than the two stars, and the ROI is not much worse (and still an excellent figure).

    • Matt Bisogno
      Matt Bisogno says:

As per the video, David, I mainly eliminated them to make the number of bets around two per day on average. Also as per the video, I encourage users to interact with the information in a manner which works for them. So, in your case, feel free to ‘have at’ the one stars as well!

      Best,
      Matt

Matt, firstly, great piece of work and really well explained both in the report and your video. I’d be interested in seeing the “Z team” i.e. the track/trainer combos with the worst strike rate, with the prospect of potentially laying. Will this be available, free or otherwise? Thank you very much for sharing what you have already.

29September 2018 are we off and running with tts (directors cut ,f o brien )kiruna peak4.35 market rasen 5to 1 currently?

  20. David
    David says:

Sorry to bother you again, but there are two more questions I wanted to ask. Firstly, I don’t know if I’m being stupid, or have missed something, but I thought you said that qualifying combinations now had to have 7 winners over the last 5 seasons, but there are several combinations both in the A Team and the Directors Cut that have 4 – 6 winners listed? What am I not understanding?

And secondly, have followers of the previous 11 years TTS manuals made a profit? I mostly ask because, although the figures are very impressive, most of the combinations you use have very small sample sizes, and I would not normally put any trust at all in such small samples. Although if they had at least 10 wins over the last five seasons, and were showing a good profit based on that, I probably wouldn’t worry so much.

Thanks for the guide though, and for answering our questions on here.

    • Matt Bisogno
      Matt Bisogno says:

      Hi David. Good questions.

I should have clarified that the number of wins related to a trainer’s overall record at a track. The TTS content relates to a trainer’s record with a specific type of runner. Where a trainer has been included with ‘all’ as the ‘specific runner’ type, all have at least eight wins in the sample, and most have 15+.

Yes, TTS has been consistently profitable. I’ve been trying to get the exact figures off Gavin, the guy who has published the manual since I stopped a while back, but he’s very busy with the ‘day job’ at the moment. Will try to source those for you.

Ultimately, I strongly encourage you – and indeed everyone – to take time to get to know the trainers in the guide, and to decide whether it is something which might work with your betting style. Further, it might be something to either paper trade or bet to very small stakes at first. As I’ve said before, I don’t want to be arbiter of how anybody uses the info, and it is provided ‘as is’ and for information and entertainment purposes only. The trainers have excellent historical track records but stuff can and does happen which means history isn’t always repeated. Caveat emptor applies.

I hope that answers your questions, and seems reasonable. Will revert in the comments here when I’m able to get a results update.

    • Matt Bisogno
      Matt Bisogno says:

Apologies Tom – I did miss that. Poor show on my part.

The short answer is that it’s not something I’ll have time to research any time soon. But using the principles outlined in the video, anyone could produce such a list using geegeez.co.uk’s Query Tool.

Thanks for the reminding about this question and, again, sorry for missing it first time around.

Thanks for getting back to me Matt. appreciate it. I have been impressed with the stuff you have sent out recently, and today I registered as a free user on geegeez to have a better look around. I was also hoping to be able to have some use of the Query Tool that you referred me to but I see (unsurprisingly) that it is part of geegeez gold which is currently closed. Look forward to hearing of any future opportunities to try it out. Thanks again.Tom
