Prior to having another attempt at the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, a journey to Turkey may be on the cards for Mick Channon's Youmzain.
The well travelled seven-year-old has been the runner up in the Longchamp event for the last three consecutive years, to three of the champions of recent times in Dylan Thomas, Zarkava and Sea The Stars.
With Harbinger now out of the equation, Channon is eager for October be upon us and with Youmzain running so well, the Bosphorus Cup may even be a possibility.
"He's in great form and it's just a question of keeping a lid on him until Paris," said Channon.
"He's so well in himself that we've even slung him in the Bosphorus Cup at the start of September to keep our options open because I don't want him too fresh.
"That's probably a mischievous entry though because it's all about the Arc in October, but he's never been to Turkey!
"As the sad loss of Harbinger from the line up tells you, you need to be there on the day and we've been lucky enough to be able to deliver our lad at his peak for three years running now. I couldn't be happier with him," he stated on his website.
