Video Post: Champion Hurdle 2011 / Apprentice Required

And now, dear reader, for something completely different... Actually, not quite as surreal as a Monty Python sketch, but today - for a change - I've recorded a little video for you. It comes in two parts, largely in recognition of the fact that some people will be more interested in one part than the other...!

So... part one is an update on the Champion Hurdle 2011 picture, along with my views - and my bets - on the race to date. That one is directly below this waffle... and part two is me reaching out to the Geegeez community and asking, "Do you want to work with me?". I'm looking for an apprentice, and this is a paid position for the right person.. details in the second video below.

Here's the original Champion Hurdle preview I wrote way back in August:

Now, as promised, can you help me and I help you? Watch the below to find out...

If you think you have what it takes to work with me, and learn from me, then please email me with a short summary of your skillset and your current situation (work / other commitments, etc), and hopefully I'll be talking to you soon.

Thanks a lot!

Finally, did you like the video post? And would you like to see more of this type of content? Leave a comment and let me know!

Very much enjoyed the video Matt. The Champion Hurdle preview was very good and I’m with you on Cue Card; he could be quite special. I’m gonna wait till there is a better idea of which race the Tizzards think is the best option before I have a bet. Supreme Novices seems a far safer plan, but will they be brave and go for the Champion Hurdle with a 5yo novice? You’re a stats and trends man and you never mentioned the 5yo stat! 🙂
Oddswise, I was looking at the dutch for backing him in the Supreme and Champion and it works out around 9/4. Too short for me personally for an ante-post wager, but like you, I wanna be on the bandwagon with this one. Not one to get caught up in horse hype normally, but that bumper win will live long in the memory.

Great content and great to put a face and voice to your name.
    Keep up the good work.

    Hi Matt,

The video is much easier to follow when information is being provided. I also like the interaction screens showing the information first hand. I also like the way cue card has run so far and could turn out to be something special. I must admit that I do like Menorah and the way she battled onto win giving weight all round.

I have just seen the result from Wolverhampton with Khajaaly winning at 25/1, have not heard her mentioned in your posts recently as you usually state when the horse is running, anyway hope you managed to get some of the 33/1 available to bash those booikies.

Thanks Michael – I’ll definitely do more of the video posts. They’re fun to record as well.

Re Khajaaly, I did back him – twice, as the price went against me! – and I have to say that I was absolutely thrilled for the syndicate members who must have thought they’d bought a donkey.
Julia and John gave him a month in a field, and they said he was bouncing and ready today. He won like he might well win again – jockey didn’t need more than hands and heels.

I tried to apply for your apprentice mate but my computer skills are to say the least appaling. My following of racing is good and my knowledge goes back a few years. My expertise would be in communication and my wit could be classed as dubious but I get by.

I really enjoyed this. will definately watch any others you do. Wish you had done something for the Hennessey gold cup though. Regarding cue card, megastar which was 5th in the bumper has really franked the form(3 times) in my eyes.

Any reason why your affiliate link for FP system is the same as the one being used by OBE? jrox 101?

Was going to purchase the system from OBE but thought i would try and let geegeez get the credit and turns out same affiliate link!

    • Matt Bisogno says:

      Hi Colin

Yes, every reason. OBE is my site! (I acquired it about a year ago).

Reason I’ve not mentioned it before is because I haven’t really done anything to it yet, but in the next three months you’ll see a massive change over there.

      Hope that clarifies,
      Matt
