‘Valiant Stakes’ scheduled for 3.45: Three-year-olds have secured eight renewals during the last eleven years during which time, five favourites have prevailed.  Nine of the last eleven winners were sent off at 11/2 or less.

Mark Johnston wins more than his fair share of these handicap events at Ascot and the trainer held three options earlier in the week for this all aged ten furlong event, which was scheduled to be contested at 4.20. Mark has saddled three of the last with winners in this particular event.  Four-year-olds have won four of the last six renewals.

Seven furlong Heritage Handicap scheduled for 3.15: Four-year-olds lead the five-year-olds 6-3 during the last nine years of the contest.  Six of the last seven winners carried a maximum burden of nine stones.

Group 1 ‘King George’ due to be contested at 3.50: Four-year-olds have won eight renewals during the last decade, the other two contests having been secured by three-year-olds.  Six consecutive favourites scored between 2004 and 2009, with the other four winners during the study period were sent off at odds ranging between 4/1 and 9/1.  In terms of depth, this is not the strongest renewal of this famous event.

Class 3 three-year-old (twelve furlong) handicap scheduled for 5.35: The biggest priced winner during the last decade was an 8/1 chance, albeit the only successful market leader was recorded two years ago.  All ten winners during the study period carried a minimum burden of 8-13.
