Win £250 in Cash by next Monday

Geegeez Prize DrawSomething a little different today. With Christmas coming up and all the associated expenses there, I've come up with a way for me to help you to help me to help you. Let me explain...

The geegeez odds comparison site is a very useful part of geegeez. It enables you to check the best odds, and to place your bet directly to the bookie with the best price.

From my perspective, when users decide to open a new account because a bookie is offering the best odds on an event, geegeez receives a commission for referring the customer. Those commissions are spent very wisely on things like top writers, more content... and an occasional Guinness for me(!)

So I got to thinking about how we could use those bookie commissions to get more writers, more content and just a bit more Guinness, whilst also benefiting everyone else.

Here's what I came up with:

1. A prize draw with free bets for everyone who enters

2. A prize of £250 in cash to one lucky reader

3. Three further prizes of six months membership to my Super Trainers (aka Winning Trainers aka Dirty Two Dozen) membership site.

And here's how to enter:

Your first 30 days for just £1

1. Figure out a bet you intend to place anyway (maybe a horse race today, or a football match, or an ante-post pick for Cheltenham)

2. Use http://odds.geegeez.co.uk to find the best price available with a bookie with whom you don't already hold an account

3. Click 'free bets' in the top right corner of odds.geegeez.co.uk and find your nominated bookie's offer.

4. Read the terms and conditions of that bookie's free bet offer, sign up and place the bet.

5. Email prizedraw@geegeez.co.uk with your name and the bookie with whom you opened the account and placed the bet, so we can verify your entry

6. Look out for my post next Monday when the winners will be announced.

Here's a quick video explanation, in case that might help.

Obviously, this is open to everybody, so feel free to tell your friends (perhaps using the sharing buttons to the left). You may also enter more than once, but please send a separate email for each entry and tell me the name of the bookie with whom you opened the new account. If I can't match the name and bookie to my records, you can't win.

OK, with that said, good luck!

Matt

p.s. do you think this is a good idea? Would you like to see more of such competitions here? Leave a comment and let me know.

Hi Matt, a good competition, however I have an account with every bookie, some closed or restricted, so I’ll be unable to enter

Fair enough Paul, though I’d be surprised if you have an account with every bookie over at odds.geegeez.co.uk! There’s some less familiar ones there.

In any case, no problem, and thanks for the comment.

  2. Stuart says:

    Hi Matt

I have an account at all of them. Unfortunately, Victor Chandler closed me down for winning just €200 and Ladbrokes are limiting me to less than a pound a bet (seriously!) for winning a similar amount, but I do have an account with all of the others, even if several of them are also limited.

Thank God for Betfair, I say.

  5. Richard N. says:

I have accounts with 16 which must include all those that give “best odds guaranteed” so I’m afraid I’m not much use to you either but good luck.

  7. David says:

I tried Geegeez today for the first ( and as it turns out ) the last time.

Having placed a bet on William Hills through the direct link , the same as with Oddschecker and others , expecting to get BOG price – I find that although showing 4.3 at time of placing bet , it was settled at SP of 2.75.

That was an expensive way of testing a new toy , but at least the problem has been highlighted now.

  8. dave says:

same as some of the other replies, cannot get any odds up for any racing at all.?
just a green band, with a nag landing after a jump,?

  9. Chris says:

Dave, I’ve just tried following the squence as in the article and it worked fine for me.

      Hi Kieran

I’m guessing by your joy at my apparent misfortune that you’re new around here. We’re generally a little more ‘caring and sharing’ than that. In any case, I thought I’d clearly stated what was in it for me. To reiterate, when someone opens a new account from there, Geegeez receives a small commission. It is my intention to share that commission by way of a prize draw.

I really couldn’t have been any more transparent. So thanks for your comment, and try to be a little more constructive next time. We’re all in it together at geegeez, and those that aren’t quickly leave for somewhere else more downmarket…

Quote “You can please some of the people, some of the time, but you cannot please all the people all the time.”

Esp. the narrow minded sort, we are here to help each other, and don’t really want those who think or act otherwise!

    Keep your chin up Matt.

Merry Xmas, to all involved with GeeGeez etc 😉

    Thanks for a great site

  12. Roddo says:

    Matt,
As you know im hopeless at anything techno.Tried your link but it said it had expired.I will have a go on the day of the race.Dont forget when i went to school we had only just moved from chalk and slate onto ink and paper.

    • Matt Bisogno says:

Haha, I’m not buying that, Roddo. Thomas Edison had already invented the light bulb and he’s just entered! 😉

  13. Roddo says:

    Roddo

  14. Roddo says:

Opened an account with William Hill and placed a bet on 2.30 at Cheltenham.Took me over an hour to open account and place bet.Dont think i will bother again.Cant beat going to bookies and WRITING BET OUT

    • Matt Bisogno says:

      Hi Roddo

It depends whether you live further than half an hour from a bookies! Also, you only need to ‘open’ the account once. In future, you just login and bet, which is a lot quicker than going to the bookies. And the tea is better at home!

Sorry it took so long though, no idea why that was.

      Matt
