Welcome To Geegeez Gold
Hello, and welcome to Geegeez Gold, an exciting horse racing platform that has more traditional players running scared. You’re about to be unleashed into a fantastic world of knowledge and information. But as with all new worlds, some of it will be unfamiliar, and the scale of it can feel a little overwhelming, to begin with at least.
So, please read this page first, because it’s designed to help you get the most out of your Gold subscription, and to hit the ground running. And, as you step through things, remember to take your time. There’s no rush.
Where Do I Start?
A very good question, and one to which we have some good answers. The suggestions below are not mutually exclusive. That is, feel free to use any or all of the items highlighted. And, of course, do take time to flick through the User Guide. You’re sure to spot a feature or two you’d otherwise have missed in there.
1 - If you're short on time (<20 minutes on betting days) or experience (<6 months), or both, start with...
Shortlisting
Gold has a range of winner-finding reports, all designed to help time-poor punters cut through the chaff to find those golden ears of wheat. Or, more directly, to locate value winners. The best places to start are:
The Shortlist report, which highlights those horses through the entirety of today’s cards that are best suited to the conditions of today’s race. Entries on this report are scored from 9-15, with 15 representing a perfect ‘line of green’ profile. This report has been responsible for winners at 50/1, 25/1 and a string of 14/1 and 16/1 winners in just a two week period before.
Instant Expert appears as a tab in every UK and Irish race. It is most effective when horses have an ‘exposed’ level of form, and it takes less than five minutes to scan the Instant Expert grids for an entire day, even on a busy Saturday. The Instant Expert can be found by clicking on any race from the cards menu, and selecting the Instant Expert tab.
PRO TIP: Look for horses with a strong profile in races where all – or nearly all – of the others do not. I call this “the contrast principle” and have written about it here.
2 - If you have a little more time (20-40 minutes on betting days) and/or experience (6-12 months), take a look at...
Gold Race Cards
Our intuitive, feature rich (and multi-award-winning) race cards have a banquet of data for users. Inline form for horse, trainer, jockey and sire, plus trainer and jockey form indicators; head to head records; masses of contextual stats; Racing Post and Topspeed ratings, as well as a private handicap (SR); Bet Tracker and notes capability; sectional timing; and form and breeding comments.
Trainer / Jockey Form
Gold has comprehensive reporting on trainer, jockey, and trainer/jockey combination form. Each of the three reports (trainer, jockey, and trainer/jockey combination) has four sub-reports, for 14 day, 30 day, course one year, and course five year form.
Horses for Courses / Head to Head records
Gold has breakdowns of each horse’s past performances at today’s course, and against today’s rivals. Head to head records can be viewed right within the cards, or users can avail of an overview of the best course records across all races on the day, from the Head To Head report.
Similarly, the Horses for Courses report displays the overall track record of all horses that have previously run at today’s venue.
3 - For those with more time (40 minutes + on betting days), and/or more experience (12 months+), try this...
Full Form Filters / Profiler
If you like to drill down into a horse’s past history, to identify optimal profiles or performance patterns, Full Form Filters is ideal. Users can dissect a horse’s form by going, class, course, distance, race code, jockey, trainer, days since a run, handicap/non-handicap, and by win, places, and unplaced efforts.
It’s super easy to use, with the form updating with each selection made, meaning no waiting for pages to refresh, or repetition of key strokes, etc.
The Full Form Filters have their own tab for every single in UK and Ireland each day, and you can get to them from here.
And Profiler, which shows more detail for the same actors in a race as Full Form, lives in the tab next door: you can find it from here.
Draw and Pace Analysis
Another unique component of Gold is our pace analysis. Whilst a few niche sites do offer some sort of an opinion on pace, none of the major race card providers – Sporting Life, Racing Post, Attheraces – do. Gold Pace Analysis is very simple to use, and extremely powerful. Indeed, for a significant number of users it is their first and primary port of call for finding bets.
Suitable for backers, layers, and traders, the pace data is based on in-running comments and specifically how a horse was positioned in the early part of the race. The information helps identify potential lone front-runners, speed duels, and pockets of pace in a single section of the draw in big field flat races. This video will help you understand a lot more about Gold Pace Analysis.
The Pace Analysis is available for all UK and Irish races, and can be found in its own tab on the race cards.
And you’ll find Draw Analysis in a tab, too.
0 - Suitable for everyone...
As well as cutting edge race cards, form tools, and reporting, Gold also has two further elements suitable for horse racing bettors of all levels.
Tracker
The first is a Tracker, in which you can store not just horses, but also trainers and jockeys. You can add (or remove) a horse, trainer or jockey to your tracker from any race card – by clicking the star next to their name – and you may add notes for horses you’ve added.
Users have the option to receive email notifications either overnight or at the five day stage for any or all of horses, trainers and jockeys… or, of course, not to receive notifications at all.
And so you never miss one of your favourites again, your My Geegeez page has a note of all today’s tracked engagements – horses, trainer and jockeys – right on your member home page.
Query Tool
This is where you can ask questions of the form book, and get answers. Dig deep, find great betting angles, and save them to your own account. Qualifiers from your QT angles will be highlighted both on a report and within the racecard itself, denoted by a blue number in a box.
Bet Tracker
Want to know where you’re doing well, or not so well? Store and track your bets in our Bet Tracker tool. Over time, you’ll develop a picture of what’s working for you; and opportunities to improve and/or eliminate certain bets from your approach. This has turned around the betting of scores of Gold subscribers and, if you’re prepared to enter your bets, it can do the same for you.
Comments, Questions, Issues
We know that sometimes things don’t go quite right, and sometimes – quite often for Gold users, actually – things surpass your expectations. Either way, if you’ve a comment to make, we’d love to hear from you. We respect and welcome constructive criticism – it’s what helps us evolve and improve – so do send us your thoughts, queries, and concerns, by using the contact options here.
The very best of luck with your Gold subscription from all at geegeez.co.uk. We hope, and expect, it will take your betting to the next level, and beyond.
