It's the changing of the seasons, a time for spring cleaning and refreshing the house. And, this year, that extends to chez geegeez, too. You may have noticed a few changes already, including on this page, in terms of the look and feel of things. There's much more of that in the pipeline for the coming days and weeks.
But today I want to share an update that is more than just cosmetic. Indeed, it feels like building an extension on the side of the house - after a fashion, at least. Yes, finally, we have added Betfair data to our racecards, form tools and reports. The video below illustrates what we've added, where you'll find it, and how to use it. I very much recommend you have a gander.
Betfair data is visible to all paid plan users, whether Lite or Gold. To see what else we have, and to upgrade your account, click here.
There is also an updated User Guide, which you can review here.
I really hope you enjoy the new data as much as I have been.
Matt
p.s. As is often the case with new releases, there are a few odds and ends to sweep up afterwards. We're aware that the 'tomorrow' report content is not yet on site - it will be later this afternoon.
p.p.s. In the video, I've referred to 2% commission on Betfair. In order to ensure you're paying this minimum level, log in to your Betfair account and go to this page. Choose the 'Basic' plan (probably the panel on the right of the page). That's it, you'll now pay 2% only on net winning exchange bets.
superb thankyou
Good luck with everything Matt, when would you expect Tomorrow’s SRs to be out please (thinking of Aintree)
Hi Paul, the SR’s have processed now and we’re working through the backlog of report processing. Appreciate the timing was imperfect but I was desperate to get this major change live.
Matt
Hi Matt,
This is brilliant! Will BFSP be added to the bet tracker?? Would save me hours & hours of having to fill them in on my own sheet! 🙂
Also one small bit of constructive criticism; is it possible to move the BFSP details in the horses race form to the far left? Keep it separate from the horses ratings i.e. keep all the horse info to the left as I find the BFSP confuses the eye when scanning OR etc
Hi Joe,
On Bet Tracker, we’ll look at that. It’s not as straightforward as you might think, since every price gets an ID – so one ID for 1.01, one for 1.02, etc; and then the dropdown approach wouldn’t work.
On location of BSP column, it’s probably going to stay where it is. My eyes aren’t used to it being there yet, either, but in a week from now I’d guess we’ll all be up to speed.
Matt
Thanks Matt, no problem. Not trying to rain on the parade as it is a brilliant addition. Just thought I’d ask!
Hi Matt,
I feel the same as Joe. OR is a key piece of information on the form line and also denotes where the ratings begin reading left to right. My eye struggles now to quickly land on this figure. Would you consider making the font bold for OR to break the line up please?
Thanks for giving this your consideration.
Cheers,
Russ
Hi Russ,
We’re going to move the BSP (and its related data) to the left of the Race Outcome column and to the right of the Jockey column. The OR will then be where we’re all used to seeing it – I find it harder to pick out now, too!
We’ll also add an option on My Geegeez to show or hide these data, but that will take a little longer (because the BSP numbers are everywhere across the site).
Matt
That’s great, Matt – thank you very much!
Russ
Sorry Matt. I meant my last comment in relation to Full Form not Bet Tracker.
