Stat of the Day: Month-by-Month

SOTD Monty by Month

SOTD Monty by Month

We've had a few requests for a monthly breakdown of SotD's results since its inception last November, so I've quickly put this together for you all.

I don't want SotD to generate some form of life force of its own, or for it to deflect from the rest of the site, but I'll leave this up for future reference and I'll just add to it at the end of each subsequent month.

It’s like checking email or Twitter, Sotd is like a religion and I’m an atheist.

  2. Stuart says:

It’s the only website that gets me to sneak out of meetings!

Not only because it’s usually (actually, pretty much always, to be honest) more interesting, but also because I know if I follow its advice my betting bank is likely to grow a few points each month.

  3. Bob Smith says:

Great results backed up by stats. Your methodology as to your picks gives great confidence when placing bets also. Many Thanks Bob

  4. maninasuit says:

Very impressive Chris always loved stats based betting myself

I note first and second month was bfsp, third bfsp/bog and then it doesn’t say what are the numbers based on?

I know its not a tipping service but is there any chance you have the results in an excel spreadsheet?

    • Chris Worrall says:

      Hi,
Basically this is how it unfolded. Matt started it purely as a pointer towards a horse that might just go well on the day, but was “under the radar” a little. We didn’t advise any odds or anything, but after the first couple of months, people were backing our selections and asking us for a breakdown of Profit/Loss.
So I had go back through all the selections (which are’t filed anywhere, other than on the daily blogs!) and apply Betfair SP to them. Since then, everything is to advised odds, usually BOG.

      Chris

great stuff chris, due to the success sotd is having it’s getting harder to get prices.
i don’t know about anyone else but i’m increasingly finding myself refreshing the page every 10 mins like the olden days with a certain mr taylor.(i don’t even bother with him any more)
i get the sotd on my f/b page but usually it’s a little after it’s posted on here.
is there any possibility that it could be put on f/b simultaneously?
many thanks and keep up the good work

    Hi Chris/Matt,
Is it possible for you to list the names of your winners for September,,,,just want to double check my records…….thanks in advance if you have time.

    Great site

  7. Ray Thompson says:

I’m trying to work out a staking plan to maximise profits from SotD. Can you tell me what the longest losing run has been?
